The Working Group Against Racism in Children's Resources [WGARCR] is a voluntary organisation and was formed in 1983 with the objectives of:-

raising awareness that racism is damaging to young children;
identifying antiracist play and learning resources for children and
developing strategies for the effective use of such resources with children,
providing advocacy and support for children and parents.


The Working Groups’ clients, partners and audience for achieving these objectives are: children and parents, information providers, resources producers and distributors, voluntary organisations, policy makers, childcare and education providers.
